Our Purpose
Several years ago God inspired me to put together a collection of testimonies from people whose lives have changed because of His faithfulness. Like so many things, it never made it to the top of the list but God had a plan all along. In the Spring of 2009 my friend, Tamara, came to me and told me that her son Taylor would have to undergo a second heart transplant and she wanted me to pray about doing a fund raiser. Before she finished the sentence I knew that the book idea was for this purpose.
Taylor had a heart transplant at the age of four. He is now thirteen and has grown into an awesome young man. At a very young age he learned the meaning of receiving from the Body of Christ. When he was in Houston to have his first transplant he received so much support from the Corpus Christi community it changed his life. When he was able to return home it became a priority for him to give back. So, we gathered the testimonies to be compiled into this book; the proceeds of which will go the Taylor Berry Foundation to cover expenses that are not covered by medical insurance.
I know that this will be a HUGE blessing to Taylor and his family but it is the prayer of each and every contributor that the words written in this book might make an eternal difference in the life of someone we may never know.

Back GroundI received the gift of a new life in May of 2000, and have been blessed beyond this life with tears, friends, and family. Upon receiving this gift I have lived by the following.... |

In 1999 I was diagnosed with Restrictive Cardiomyopathy a rare disease cause by viral pnemonia. The treatment for this was a heart transplant. I was 4 years old when we moved to Houston to await the transplant. In May 2000 I received the gift of a new heart.
